What If You Could Attract Your Dreams By Using Your Mind.

What if I told you that you are powerful enough to attract anything that you wanted in life. Would you believe me? Or would that seem too easy to be true?


16 Years ago when my youngest brother passed away, it sent me on a journey like no other. Something so extreme & new that it changed my life forever. I look back now at what I have learned & am so incredibly sad for his loss, but also, so grateful for what I have learned from his passing.


There is always a beautiful rainbow after a storm passes & this is how I see that time period of my life.


Not only did I learn to be grateful for everything in my life, I learned something so powerful that gave me a new lease on life. It gave me hope for my future.


This is what I learned about during that time: the Law of Attraction, the power of manifestation.


I know these words or terms can make you feel uncomfortable, or maybe you are not even aware of them. When I first heard them, I thought they seemed odd, maybe even voo-doo’ish because it was so foreign to me. It was too good to be true & I did not believe in it.


I started reading everything that I could get my hands on regarding this subject. It was still intriguing to me & I just had to know more. The more I learned & started practicing it, I found that it was absolutely no joke.  It was all real. I realized that we are using it everyday, but many of us don’t know it! You had to be open to the idea, believe, be persistent, & patient.

What Law of Attraction & Manifest means:

  1. Manifest means: adj. Clear or obvious to the eye or mind. verb. Display or show (a quality or feeling) by one’s acts or appearance; demonstrate.

  2. Law of Attraction: “In the new thought philosophy, the law of attraction is the belief that by focusing on positive or negative thoughts a person brings positive or negative experiences into their life. The belief is based on the idea that people and their thoughts are both made from “pure energy”, and that through the process of “like energy attracting like energy” a person can improve their own health, wealth and personal relationships.” 

I learned was that this way of thinking wasn’t crazy or something new.


Law of  attraction has been used for hundreds of years. It was first thought to have been taught to man through the immortal Buddha, who wanted it to be known that ‘what you have become is what you have thought’. This a belief that is deeply intrinsic with the Law of Attraction. This later spread throughout the western civilization known as “karma”. Over the centuries it has become an understanding that what you give out to the world (be it anger or happiness, hate or love) is ultimately what can return to your own life in the end.


My interpretation of the Law of Attraction is: “thoughts become things”. Simple but TRUE.


Have you ever wondered that when you are going through tough times in your life, you receive more of them? Well, it is because if you are focusing on the negative aspects that the tough times bring, instead of the positive. So of course you then are attracting more of the negative.

Our minds are SO POWERFUL! The power to change anything & everything in our lives lies within us! We just have to understand that, believe it, & learn how to do it! A concept that can change our lives forever!


5 Reasons why it is so important to know about the Law Of Attraction:


1. The saying “Thoughts Become Things” is TRUE!

Think back in your life. Was there a time when you wanted something so badly that you thought about it all of the time, then after a while you received it? Or a time when you were so afraid of getting the flu that you took every Vitamin C tablet that you could get your hands on, only to catch the flu anyway?


This is EXACTLY what the Law of Attraction is. What you think about you get, so be VERY CAREFUL in where your thoughts go. This is EXTREMELY important! 🙂


2. Becoming AWARE of your thoughts is a MUST! 

My first blog post was about one of the most important topics that we could have; creating our own happiness by mastering our thoughts. It is about being AWARE of your thoughts! This truly is the first step to understanding that WE have the POWER to change our lives.


Everything begins with our thoughts.

3. Understand the POWER of your ACTIONS & WORDS!

Holy cow is this IMPORTANT! Just like I said before our thoughts become things, but our WORDS have even more power!


For example, we were going through tough times in 2009 & I would catch myself saying “we don’t have any money, we are so broke, we are going to lose everything that we have.” Well, guess what? We just about did!


All that the universe heard from me was…I don’t have enough…so that is what they gave me, not enough! Everything was going wrong for us because that is ALL we FOCUSED on! When you talk about how lucky you are because everything is going well for you, you receive more good luck! Please be CAREFUL WHAT YOU SAY! 🙂


4. You MUST teach your children how POWERFUL their thoughts & words are!

Can you imagine if you had known this when we were children? Or even better, if EVERY child was taught this in school?


They could achieve ALL of their dreams & reach all of their goals!


If they were able to realize how powerful their minds were on a daily basis, they would have the confidence & drive to do more & DREAM bigger! The world we be so much more hopeful & so many more people would be happy & successful.


If everyone was educated on the power of your thoughts & the Law of Attraction it would change the world. 


It WILL CHANGE YOUR LIFE FOREVER!  

Take a minute to really reflect on your life. Do you see the patterns that occurred when you were happy? Excited? How about negative? Sad? Scared? Even depressed? I can write about every instance in my life….it was so predictable because of where my thoughts were at each time period. Crazy, right?


Can you imagine if you actually took this seriously & really took the time to master your thoughts? Can you see how powerful this can be for you & your entire family?


This is where I was able to start having HOPE again, I started believing in myself & my future because I realized finally, that I was in charge of my own life. How wonderful is that? Can you imagine if this happened to you too? It will!  🙂


This all sounds amazing, right? It really IS! You may be wondering, why doesn’t everyone use the Law of Attraction? Why doesn’t anyone know what being able to “manifest” something means?


Unfortunately, this isn’t taught in our schools or in most of our work settings. It is often considered “New Age” thinking, which scares a lot of people because it is not “main stream” thinking. It certainly should be taught everywhere, however, it is not.


I will be going more into detail in my next 4 posts regarding how you can use it & how you can master your thoughts! I am excited to share this with you all because it has changed my life! For now, I am going to share a few simple but important steps to get you started on your new journey!


These steps build the foundation which everything else is based upon. If you already have knowledge on this, then it will be a good refresher for you. If you are new to this concept, it will take TIME  for you to get used to, but this absolutely has to be the starting point before you can move into deeper areas of the Law of attraction. 🙂


3 Simple steps to start using the Law of Attraction:


1. Become AWARE of your thoughts! 

I know I mentioned this above many times, but this is the MOST important step in changing anything in your life, especially when it comes to the Law of Attraction. You have to pay attention to where your thoughts go throughout the day.


  • Do you think more negative thoughts than positive?

  • Are you feeling like nothing goes right for you?

  • Would you say that you complain a lot?

  • Do you see yourself as a victim in life?

  • When you describe yourself, would you say you are the life of the party or a Debbie Downer?

YOU HAVE TO BECOME AWARE of what you are thinking!!!!


You can read my post regarding awareness & how to master it here. This is a very important place to start! I promise it will not be time wasted. Start every morning by being aware of what goes through your mind. Write down a few sentences on how you feel throughout the day, & what are your thoughts?


Also, if you find yourself complaining about anything, the weather, your job, being tired, sick, life, then you need to read this!


Complaining stops you from attracting anything good! It only brings about more of what you’re complaining about! So take the 7 Day No Complaining Challenge & start today! Your future depends on it! 🙂


2. Start being GRATEFUL!

In order to change your thoughts, you need to focus on the good that is in your life. We all have SO much to be grateful for in our lives each & every day!


To start with, wake up in the morning being grateful that you woke up! Most of us also have our health, family, friends, clean water, heat, a roof over our head, clean air, hands, feet, beds, etc. to be thankful for! Seriously the list is ENDLESS!!!


By focusing on what you are grateful for, you start diminishing the negativity in your life, which in turn, starts attracting more of what you really want! It is AMAZING!


I wrote about the importance of using a Gratitude Journal which you can read about here. This is also a life changer for so many reasons. It helps you become aware of your thoughts, which makes you more grateful for all that you have in your life. When you truly become more grateful, you attract more to be grateful for.


Can you see the trend? It is a beautiful thing! 🙂


Start every day by writing down 10 things that you are grateful for in a journal. It clears your mind, starts your day in a positive way, helps you become aware of what you have, what your thoughts are, & helps you to attract more positives in your life! 3. Make a list of what you want in your life.

In order for you to attract something that you want into your life, you have to put it out to the universe. I know that it sounds crazy, but it is true. The power in writing down what you want & saying what you want out loud is immeasurable.


I love referring to the Law of Attraction as placing an order from a catalog. You don’t just receive things out of the blue, right? You have to shop, place an order for the item that you want, pay for it, then you wait to receive it.


The universe & your mind work the same way. If you are asking for more money, but you are saying that you are broke & your complaining, you will most definitely NOT receive more money. If you ask for more money-making opportunities, you should write down ideas that you have that you are excited about, ask the universe for it, be genuinely excited about it, know that it will happen, be patient, & you WILL get it!


The important thing to remember is that you have to take action, & you have to be clear on what you are asking for. Take the time to write down what you want for yourselves & your family. This is so important & FUN!


These are some very simple steps that can get you on the road to being able to attract what you want & deserve in life! But you can’t start the process until you do all of the above. My previous blog posts has a lot of information that set the foundation to be able to be successful in changing your thoughts & living a life of gratitude. As I close this post today, I want to share with you what was happening a few years ago to the date. It was the summer 2016 & I was in the process of sorting out my dreams. My friend & I spoke every day about our visions for the future, how to follow our passions, all while we were mapping out a plan. Every minute I focused on revising my plan & making it better.


What If You Could Attract Anything?

Exactly 1 year ago my family was in Cabo San Lucas for a vacation.  I spent one day by myself while my family was out fishing. It was a day of decisions for me. That day years ago I decided to start writing my book. I also, made the decision to start a blog.


I focused daily on these decisions, I took classes, learned as much as I could, & never gave up on pursuing my dreams. Today I have my blog, 3 books that I am writing,  Art With Gratitude Courses, & more things on the horizon.


What If You Could Attract Anything?

This is what happens when you become aware, change your thoughts, live a life of gratitude, & use the law of attraction to manifest what you really want in life! It is work, but it is the most gratifying feeling when you know you have manifested this into your own life. It is worth every minute that you put into it!


With school starting soon we need to educate our children on goal setting for the school year & teach them about the power that they have within to do exactly what they want to do during the school year & beyond!
